The EU’s Official Languages Directive (Council Directive No. 2010/64/EU) requires all technical product manuals to be translated into the languages of the EU’s member countries, currently into 24 languages. It would have been more practical to simultaneously offer a standardized AI-powered user manual template for all official languages to provide such technical translations in hamonized style. It would also reduce the cost and time involved in creating multilanguage user manuals and it would be easier to maintain and update different versions, but so far this has not happened and the translation agencies have been flourishing on the EU languages directive. We are no exception as we also localize technical user manuals from most of the official languges into Estonian. We have been usually localizing consumer-oriented equipment manuals, operating instructions and user guides, software/application documentation, user interfaces, also specialist-oriented documentation related to specialized technical fields.
Especially for technical marketing texts, we provide a secure and confidential environment for our clients, because often the texts are translated before product launches. We ensure that all confidential information is handled securely, including any translations and other documents. This can be done in a number of ways, such as encrypting documents, using secure online storage services, and using two-factor authentication for all accounts. Additionally, we ensure that all employees and contractors are aware of the confidential nature of any material, and that they are abiding by the agency’s security policies and procedures. We regularly review and update our security protocols to ensure that the highest levels of security are always maintained.
Technical translation services are usually provided in 4-eyes-principles, but depending on the content may also include machine translation post-editing. In technical translation it is essential to use automated quality assurance tools and we check all our texts regarding numbers and units, dates, product codes, TOC compliance, and client terminology.
Our translations are of high readability, fluent, culturally appropriate, as well as appropriate for the intended audience (specialists or consumers). Our technical translators have an in-depth understanding of the technical field and the functioning of the device/service translated. Thanks to them we have excelled in the following technical fields: automotive (Renault, Porsche, Kia, Hyundai, Honda, Kroon-Oil, Dunlop Tyres, Goodyear Tyres), agriculture (Hitachi, AGCO, Atlas Copco, Vermeer Corporation), household products (Fujitsu, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, KitchenAid, MEE), photography and cameras (Canon, Lexmark, Leica, Olympus, GOR Flipkart) mobiles (Nokia, LGE, Samsung, Motorola, Huawei), printers (HP, Canon, Epson), document management (Adobe), games (Mattel), navigation (TomTom), aviation (Finnair, Nordica, TAP Portugal), accountancy (Baseware), forest and wood industry (UPM, Metsä, HOMAG Group), crimping machinery and heavy machinery (Finn-Power, Scania, Caterpillar, Mitsubishi Electric, Manitou), food industry (Lidl, Fazer), health and wellbeing (Beurer), smart home solutions (DOMI) etc. We have tested devices with the new translations (Polar)

Court and Notary Proceedings – translating or interpreting during court proceedings and in the notary.
