A short guide for ordering a translation job
Identify your translation needs
LANGUAGE COMBINATIONS
Specify the source language and desired target language(s).
SCOPE AND TURN-AROUND-TIME
The volume of translation will be calculated on the basis of the words in your source text (one page is 250 words, we will also calculate the volume on our side). Usually 5–10 pages of text are completed in two-three working days depending on the weight of the texts. There can also be hourly jobs to be performed, you will get a separate quote for those tasks. The delivery time of the finished translations depends on the source text volume in words and the type of service needed.
SERVICE(S) NEEDED
Machine translation post-editing is usually faster than revised translations are. We usually offer revised translations made by professional linguists – this would be the best choice if the top quality is crucial. For all services please refer to teh Section “Services”.
REFERENCE MATERIALS
You can contribute by sending reference materials such as glossaries or translation memories based on the previous translations. A great help is the original document in the final formatting: PDF, power-point presentation, webpage etc.
STYLE AND TARGET AUDIENCE
Indicate the target audience for the translation: specialist or non-specialist facing? Add any style guides, if available.

PRICE REQUEST
You get a free quote the same day! Please submit your translation needs along with a price request for each specific service separately, stating your desired deadline. Prices are based on the language combination, service ordered, deadline and some other factors (mainly regarding sworn translations: printing documents, meeting in person etc.). You get a price reduction based on the repetitions in your text. It gives you extra leverage if you have any previous translation texts or a translation memory available! We also offer rush delivery for a special fee.
FINAL CONFIRMATION
After our quote, please confirm in writing if you order the service and wait our confirmation.
Prepare your information
FINAL TEXTS
Ensure the texts you send are correct and final: any source text edits will count as a new job and will be billed separately.
BE CLEAR ABOUT INSTRUCTION AND REQUIREMENTS
Ensure clear communication by specifying your instructions. If you have a style guide, be sure to add it. If you have an in-house linguist/terminology specialist, it could be useful to add this person in the communication thread.
